Puppy visits-  We do not allow puppy visits before 8 weeks of age. Why?

Puppies are prone to pick up germs and other diseases that humans and other animals can carry.  Please respect the health of the puppy and its littermates by not asking to visit before they have had their first set of shots.

Prices- We try to price our puppies within reason ...below pet stores, and below prices further north of Virginia. 

We from time to time have customers who ask to negotiate the price of  a puppy. We find this offensive and leads us to wonder if you are a broker or buyer trying to buy low and resell high.  It also leads us to wonder if you can commit to the kind of financial responsibility  a new puppy requires. In most cases we will sever all contact.   We invest a lot of time and money into our dogs and other animals.  We feed premium foods as well as literally cook for them nightly, bathe ,groom, pick-up after them, provide them  with heat and air in a safe environment as well as routine trips to our vet, web site exposure, advertising, supplies, vaccinations, long distance charges.  

 You may put down a non-refundable deposit through  U.S. Postal Money Order or Paypal.  Please make U.S. Postal money orders out to Michelle Dinwiddie. Balance is due upon pick-up of your puppy, Cash only please.

 

We allow our puppies to go to their new homes at 8-12 wks of age.  We will not release them from our care before then. Our puppies deserve a chance to bond with their mother and littermates. This is the most important part of socialization. If your puppy isn't picked up by the scheduled"pickup date" we will charge an additional $20 a week.

 

We don't sell our puppies as "surprises".  We prefer the entire family agree on adding a new family member and are willing to help contribute to the well being and care of your new puppy.  Please don't contact us if you plan to leave your puppy alone for up to 8 or nine hours a day with no supervision or out in the "yard" . 

 

"Puppy Brokers" and Pet Stores- We make every effort to ensure that our puppies go to a good home and therefore do not sell to brokers,labs, or Pet Stores.  We have seen the conditions and treatment of puppies in those environments.  They are usually in poor health and have limited if any human contact.  Most are bought from puppy mills where the proprietor could care less about who or where the puppies go after leaving their charge. 

 

We require our puppies to be spayed/neutered by 6 mths old and confirmation sent to us from your licensed vet. We will sell our purebreds with full registration papers to approved breeders for an additional fee.

 

We reserve the right to refuse a sale.
